This project involved creating a web accessible version of the Honor's Program Checksheet for the University of Mary Washington. This program allows administrators to update the requirements met for all students, by uploading a .csv file, and allow students to login and check on their own progress in the program.
While the techniques and technologies used in this project are all things I was familiar with, The process of developing an application for a client over the span of a semester taught me a lot about the planning and development process past just coding a website and backend. I had to use skills that I have developed over the course of multiple classes as well as skills which I was not necessarily focusing on previously. such as requirement / data gathering and client interaction techniques.
Had I the chance to redo this project, I would dedicate a lot more time to this project earlier on in the semester. My biggest struggle on this project was finding time during my busy semester to give it the attention it required. Luckily this was a team project and we were able to hold each other accountable for our individual parts of the project.
